Perhaps 10 to 30% of all US buildings suffer from poor indoor air quality- a condition sometimes described as “sick building syndrome.” The number of sick buildings has been growing in recent years as many buildings have reduced ventilation to reduce energy costs. Sick building syndrome has been linked to higher levels of many health symptoms such as asthma, nasal problems, frequent colds/flu, poor concentration, headaches and fatigue. Some people with allergies or chemical sensitivities have trouble working or living in such sick buildings.

What causes sick building syndrome? While there are many causes, most sick building conditions are due to 1 or more of the following 5 conditions.

I had the pleasure of interviewing an authority on Post Partum Depression a few months ago and she apprised me that PPD might also be known as PPA, or Post Partum Anxiety. Many women suffer from this and she and I agreed that diet played a role in it in many instances. I've long wondered what the end result of a pregnant woman with a systemic fungal condition would be. Who knows? It might be PPD for some! One of my close friends, Kyle Drew, knows a lot about PPD. His beautiful wife suffered from it after the birth of their son. You'll enjoy, and may benefit tremendously from, his article this month on how they overcame it, which seems to confirm my suspicion.
