Imagine my shock when I read the NY Daily News last week and discovered that fungus had killed 6 million! Had scientists finally come to their senses? Was Know The Cause finished?

I clicked on the article and learned that the final word, “bats” had been deleted from the web headline. It read, “FUNGUS KILLED 6 MILLION BATS.”

OK, bats have one head, two ears a nose, a mouth and face. They have alimentary, nervous, skeletal, immune and blood systems just like we humans do. Why, I ask you, is science so blind that if 6 million bats have died of exposure to fungus, have not 6 million people died after exposure to fungus?  “Blind” was an operative word, because each of the dead bats had fungus growing on its snout, and dead people don’t.  Even then, you might recall my news and views segments, wherein I questioned the idiocy of these scientists holding dead bats with fungus all over their faces, then claiming that they did not know why the bats were dying! Truly most scientists have no idea fungus can cause death - even, excuse the pun, when it’s right under their noses!

It’s frustrating, isn’t it? I’d love your comments!

Doug

That just goes to show that Big Pharma has the American public bafooned, and as blind as a bat! They KNOIW that fungus is dangerous, they just don't want everyone else to know about it, because they will lose BILLIONS in sales of their non-curative treatments.

nothing surprises me anymore and I thank you for continuing to bring to the forefront topics that humans need to at least consider. We, not the government, have to be responsible for our health and wellness. Being unhealthy has become profitable for big business.

Yes fungus can cause death. My 4 year old daughter is battling disseminated valley fever as we recently moved to Arizona for termed a "better life". This FUNGUS has dstroyed us emotionally, financially, and physically from stress. My sister in law told me about you 2 days ago so here I am trying to find out you think and how to save her life. My pediatrician says they grow TB from ancient mummies who had it. he believes its possible with the fungus also. We need that vaccine NOW!!!

Why does it surprize anyone, who has been to the Dr's lately, that the medical profession is totally tunneled visioned by pharmacutical co's cures? Thanks for helping me get out of years of infections, antibiotics, infections, antibioctics, etc, etc, etc. Now I actually can eat good food without pain. Dr. Ohira's probioctics and sensible eating from the phase diets really work. THANKS!!!

In the past 100 years if a doctor/scientist comes up with a cure which comes from nature like for example baking soda or herbs, the big guns up here in pharma call it quackery! They don't care if it actually cures cancer , they padlock the poor man's clinic ruin his reputation and label that guy as crazy, If the stuff that is actually curing cancer is from mother nature, abundant and can be extracTed from our mother earth and almost free for all to actually treat and heal their ailing bodies by self treatment and God given with no gigantic hospital bills piling up , the big pharma people would label it as craziness and quackery cause where is the money in that right. Who is so crazy to believe that arm and hammer baking soda which has been in existence for 150 years ,... Much older than cancer by 50 years could actually eradicate cancer from the face of mankind ! That's crazy right ! Absolutely coz medicines / cures must. One from the big pharma a drug companies, who are the self proclaimed gods of our civilization, they stretch out their tentacles into FDA dictating us what we should eat ex:processed foods canned goods all of which is the root cause of our bodies being susceptible to fungal infection like cancer and brings down our natural defenses ..... Then their tentacles go into the medicine field/ universities and feed our future doctors that the way to be a doctor is to just simply prescribe a drug, do surgery, chemo, without the need to analyze what is the root cause of all this illness, they prescribe pills which. Abuses another I'll effect then u end up taking 5 to 7 tablets each curing the side effect of the other drug it is a vicious. Yale indeed !

Dear Doug and fellow Phase I followers,
Recently I have learned about "glued meat". I share this to validate Doug's emphasis on organic grass fed meats. Here is the link to a video that will educate you as to what is happening to the meat supply:
http://d.yimg.com/nl/australia/site/player.swf?vid=24472661&repeat=0&browseCarouselUI=hide (or Google glued meat)
It is extremely informative and well done. For those of us who chose a meat, chicken, fish based diet, we will want to know about this subject. The fact that it is legal is amazing. The scientist in the video explains why "gluing meat" together can be toxic. I pray this information will be shared with many. God Bless Know the Cause!
One of your new best friends in health, Karen

Let's nominate Doug Kaufman for Noble prize in science. The tragedy of our food supply such as the use of meat glue is protected by the FDA. Kaufman educates the average person to choose life over illness. Weeds do not die, they just kill flowers!!

I just returned from a doctor's appointment...she is a new doctor for me...I liked her right off the bat....I showed her your book "THE FUNGUS LINK TO WEIGHT LOSS", and she was very interested and mentioned that she had several patients who had very serious fungus infections and she put them on a sugar free diet...I was shocked that she and I were talking the same language...one of her patients had cured himself of his fungus infection...I told her about your TV program and the web site...I am not sure she will look at the program or web site. I mentioned to her that I had toenail fungus and that I was on the Phase I diet.....I mention all this because I was so pleased that I could actually have this conversation with her and not have her put me down for reading your book...wow its actually moving into mainstream medicine!!!!

I don't know if this is the right place to post this... but I am having a problem with my lips and tongue, and my wife wonders if it might be fungus related.

My lips get dry and crackly and scabby in the corners. The front inch or so of my tongue gets very red and inflamed and appeared to blister at one point. I use a CPAP machine at night which further drys my mouth at night, so it it very sore in the morning especially.

I am thinking it is an allergic reaction to some food, but I have not been able to isolate any one cause yet. Also, this only occurs in the winter months. Any thoughts??? Thanks!

Melissa, rather than developing vaccines for a fungus that is non-pathogenic in most who are exposed to it, why not teach doctors that enhanced immunity, coupled with minimal exposure, are the answers! I recall some years ago learning that almost 90% of all residence of AZ have antibodies in their blood to Coccidioides immitis, the soil fungus that causes Coccidioodomycosis, or "San Joaquin Valley Fever." What this means is that exposure and a normal immune response is expected in Arizona. Be careful here Melissa, and don't let someone diagnose a disease when symptoms are not present! Again 90% of Arizonans DO NOT have Valley Fever, but if I weren't an immunology buff and I were to draw blood from that 90%, I might be convinced that simply because they have all made protective antibodies in the blood stream, they also have the diagnosis "Valley Fever!" This is not accurate.
KATHY, your new doctor ROCKS! An open minded MD? Hang on to this doctor with both hands. For many physicians, medical school is a STOP ORDER-you now know it all-simply take a few course annually that are given by drug companies-keep prescribing so as not to upset the apple cart-and your license is perpetual. But for some physicians graduation day is a START ORDER! I love these MD's....they took an oath to service their patients, not drug companies. But all of us have to know that there is often a threatening third party watching over doctors today. Lawyers sometimes take advantage of any physician who doesn't overprescribe or over treat! Get to know your doctors well and tell them that they are safe to NOT prescribe medications or $5,000 laboratory tests for you. John....have you read any of my books? I think you and your wife would love reading about the many implications of systemic fungal infections...if you cannot afford one, write back....I know the guy who wrote them and I'll talk to him! I love communicating with all of you....YOU ARE A BOLD BUNCH!

I need help today. We have an enviro engineer on our case, but things are movingslow. We know now her re-modeled home is the culprit. Our daughter is near death from over mold exposure, and we cannot find anyone to do blood tests on her that is knowledgable on the species growing in her blood. She has paralyzing migraines, and one struck her when the storm system came through, and she cannot speak. Like a stroke. We have moved her into tested safe house. Was improving, but this is overstress now. She cannot eat, stomach is totally upset, and diarrhea. We are in central Texas, and need a referral fast. We know there is no help here. This is 7 years in searching what her illness is. Does Dallas or Ft Worth have what we need. ? m

Mary, please call Dr. John Gonino's office ((469) 402-2800) ......People often believe that by simply exiting a moldy building, their symptoms will stop. Mold attaches to the mucous membranes of the nose and lungs and lodges until it can be removed. Most people who have inhaled toxic mold have two chores; cleanse the building and cleanse their bodies. Since mold causes strange symptoms and most physicians have no clue that the high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol of lumps inside their patients body can be caused by mold, they mis-diagmose the symptoms and begin a course of medications that causes the patient's health to spiral further. This is a dangerous scenario, but unfortunately it occurs often.
Dr. Gonino has seen cases like yours and I believe he may be able to help you. Doug
